MLS' ANNUAL EVENTS
WESTFIELD HEALTH BRITISH TRANSPLANT GAMES
MLS has been working in partnership with the national charity Transplant Sport since 2007 in staging the inspirational annual Westfield Health British Transplant Games, which comprises 24 sports and a significant participation and social programme for 2500 participants, of all ages and abilities, over 4 days. In 2016 the Games, staged in Liverpool, won the TSB/Trinity Mirror Pride of Britain Award for best Major Event.
REDBRIK FOUNDATION CHESTERFIELD 10KM
Originally the Redbrik Chesterfield Half Marathon, the Redbrik Chesterfield 10k is set to make its debut Sunday 17th October 2021 and embeds a five year rolling partnership with the Redbrik Estate Agency, their Foundation and MLS.
The event supports three charity partners - The Redbrik Foundation aiming to improve the lives of people across communities in South Yorkshire and Northeast Derbyshire. Ashgate Hospicecare providing specialist end of life care to patients and Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice the only children's hospice in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.
MUD MADNESS
Mud Madness is our family friendly mud and obstacle run. With 500 participants, the two courses of 3km and 5km provides something for everyone. Scramble, climb and paddle through mud, water, and obstacles to the finish. The event is held at Hesley Wood Scout Camp, North Sheffield and is a fundraiser for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, in South Yorkshire.
